Head-on Crash 710 Freeway, Pomona Freeway in East Los Angeles

EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Dec. 18, 2025) — One person was injured and briefly trapped in their vehicle after a head-on crash early Thursday at the Long Beach (710) Freeway near the Pomona (60) Freeway in East Los Angeles.
It happened around 1:47 a.m. on Dec. 18th in the northbound lanes of the 710 Freeway at the eastbound 60 Freeway junction, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers responded to the scene where they found a black Jeep Wrangler and a blue Honda SUV that had collided in the middle lanes, according to CHP Officer Sergio Garcia.
Firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department extricated the trapped occupant from the Honda SUV. The injured person was transported to a hospital, though their condition was not immediately available.
Debris from the collision was scattered across the northbound lanes of the 710 Freeway, officials said. No additional injuries were reported, and the cause of the crash remained under investigation.
