Major Crash Involving Pickup and Car in Manteca
MANTECA, Calif. (Dec. 20, 2024) — A head-on crash between a car and pickup happened Thursday afternoon on Airport Way at Division Road in Manteca.
The two-vehicle collision occurred near the Manteca Sportsman Club at around 3:09 p.m. on Dec. 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Ford F-150 pickup truck and a white Nissan Sentra were involved. An automated message from the pickup truck alerted 911 operators to the collision. Police and firefighters responded to the scene and located one person trapped in a vehicle.
Emergency crews from the Stockton Fire Department extricated the person who was severely injured.
Two people were treated for injuries including one person with the last name Gallardo who had complaints of pain and another with the last name Reyes who had a broken leg. Both were transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Tow trucks removed the Nissan and Ford pickup truck and both had major front-end damage.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Manteca crash on Airport Way.
