Head-on Crash Highway 1, Point Mugu in Ventura County

2-Vehicle, Minor Injury Crash

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 24, 2024) — A head-on crash happened Wednesday morning on Highway 1, roughly one mile south of Mugu Rock in Ventura County.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:29 a.m. on Jan. 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a red Mitsubishi Eclipse and a black Honda were involved. The red sedan reportedly “crossed over the double yellow lines” and collided with the Honda, the report said.

Paramedics with the Ventura County Fire Department responded to help those injured, but the injuries were minor, the report said.

Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the roadway due to undisclosed damage.

Investigators are working on the case and will determine liability for the crash on Highway 1 in Point Mugu.
