Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (Feb. 6, 2025) — A head-on crash on Highway 101 at Stage Coach Road happened Thursday morning in San Luis Obispo.

The two-vehicle crash occurred on the southbound side of Hwy 101 at around 6:44 a.m. on Feb. 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log.

One driver was making a left-hand turn to enter Stage Coach Road when they collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. One of those vehicles overturned and traffic lanes were blocked by both vehicles.

Cal Fire responded to the scene to at least one person with major injuries and transport them to a hospital.

Meanwhile, a hazmat team responded due to a fuel spill from one or both vehicles.

Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Highway 101 at Stage Coach Road in San Luis Obispo.
