Santa Barbara Head-on Crash State Route 154
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (May 26, 2022) — Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision Thursday on Highway 154 near Santa Barbara.
The crash occurred around 1 p.m. near San Antonio Creek Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The two-vehicle collision involved a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a Honda, police said.
Paramedics with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded. One person suffered minor injuries in the collision, but there are no further details, the fire department said.
Meanwhile, one of the motorists involved reportedly fled the scene on foot, according to the CHP. However, police soon caught up with the motorist following the collision.
Additionally, witnesses told authorities that one of the vehicles was driving recklessly before the collision.
Finally, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the head-on crash on Highway 154 in Santa Barbara.
