At Least 1 Hurt
The crash involving two vehicles took place shortly after 4 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway, near Summit Road.
As per the dispatch, witnesses said an older model of Toyota pickup truck headed north on Highway 17 was turning into CasaDel 17 when at the same time a white Nissan SUV was traveling south.
The two cars collided head-on, leaving one vehicle with major end damage.
CHP said an elderly male in the pickup was found unconscious following the accident. Fire department officials along with the paramedics were requested to attend to at least one person who suffered minor injuries in the collision.
It was not immediately known if the victim was treated at the scene or was taken to a hospital for further treatment.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
