Head-on Crash Highway 34 (Somis Road) in Ventura County

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (June 17, 2025) — Two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash Monday night in Somis on Highway 34 (Somis Road) in Ventura County.

The collision occurred in the northbound lanes at 3250 Somis Road around 4:08 p.m. on June 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Major Injury Car Accident on Somis Road (SR-34)

CHP officials reported the drivers of a gray Kia van and a white Nissan sedan were involved.

Paramedics from the Ventura County Fire Department responded due to major injuries, but there are no further details.

Tow trucks removed both vehicles due to heavy damage.

The Ventura Police Department and CHP are investigating circumstances leading up to the crash.
