Two-Vehicle Car Accident on Rim of the World Scenic Byway
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 30, 2024) — A head-on crash happened Wednesday on Highway 38 at Valley of the Falls Drive in the Forest Falls area of San Bernardino County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on State Route 38 or Rim of the World Scenic Byway at 9:48 a.m. on Oct. 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told CHP officials the driver of a black Honda sedan was traveling upbound when the car crossed the double yellow lanes into the path of a Subaru Impreza. The two vehicles collided and one of them possibly caught on fire.
Paramedics responded and treated at least one person with minor injuries from the collision, but there are no further details.
Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the highway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the head-on crash on Highway 38 in Forest Falls.
