2-Vehicle Collision on State Route 4 in Calaveras County
CALAVERAS COUNTY, Calif. (June 14, 2024) — A head-on crash on Highway 4, just east of Pool Station Road happened Friday, just west of Angels Camp in Calaveras County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 8:30 a.m. on June 14th in an area north of Copperopolis, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Toyota 4Runner SUV and a Tesla were involved. Witnesses told CHP officials the Tesla allegedly passed five other motorists before crashing into the Toyota SUV.
Paramedics responded to State Route 4 to attend to at least one person with minor injuries after the collision, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the Calaveras County crash on Highway 4 near Angels Camp.
