JACKSON, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2023) — A head-on crash happened Tuesday morning on Golden Chain Highway 49 at Argonaut Lane in the Jackson area.
The two-vehicle crash occurred on state Route 49 about 1:32 p.m. on Feb. 28th, according to a California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported one of the two vehicles caught on fire during the collision and there was oil all over the roadway. The report mentioned the road was very slick for a couple of hundred feet due to the oil spill.
Paramedics responded with an ambulance to help at least one person with minor injuries, but there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, at least one of the vehicles required a tow truck.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Jackson crash on Highway 49.
