Minor Injury Collision on Highway 299 in Lewiston
TRINITY COUNTY, Calif. (Dec. 13, 2024) — At least one person was injured in a head-on crash in Lewiston on Highway 299 in Trinity County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 11:36 a.m. on Dec. 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a white sedan were involved. A big rig truck stopped along the highway after witnessing the crash.
Paramedics responded to the scene and the report stated there were no serious injuries. However, one of the tow truck drivers was transporting one of the involved drivers and requested medical advice. The motorist was in and out of consciousness and throwing up.

Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles including the pickup with moderate front-end damage.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the Lewiston crash on Highway 299.
