Semi-Truck, Car Accident on State Route 166 in Cuyama
CUYAMA, Calif. (April 5, 2024) — A head-on car accident happened Friday morning on Cuyama Highway State Route 166, just east of Aliso Canyon Road in Cuyama.
The collision between a big rig truck and a Toyota Camry occurred at about 8 a.m. on April 5th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch. The truck stopped in the eastbound lane after the collision and the car had major front-end damage.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash and located one person with a head and hand injury who was transported to a hospital.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
