Box Truck, Pickup Crash on Mentone Avenue
MENTONE, Calif. (April 11, 2023) — A head-on crash involving a yellow moving truck happened Tuesday at Mentone Avenue and Crafton Avenue in San Bernardino County.
The two-vehicle crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. on April 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck collided with the box truck due to unknown circumstances. Police believe that one of the vehicles crossed over into the path of the other one, but the circumstances are under investigation.
At least one person became trapped in a vehicle and another person was seen running towards the fire truck from the nearby San Bernardino County Fire Station 9.
The vehicles were blocking the roadway and there was a small fuel spill of roughly 40 gallons from the larger truck.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the collision.
