2-Vehicle Collision on Sage Road
SYCAMORE SPRINGS, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2023) — A head-on crash happened Wednesday morning on Sage Road in Sycamore Springs, just south of San Jacinto.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 9:51 a.m. on Oct. 25th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a green Ford Mustang and a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck were involved. The Mustang reportedly caught on fire with flames coming from its engine. A bystander with a fire extinguisher attempted to put out the flames, the report said.
Meanwhile, the Riverside County Fire Department responded and located at least one person trapped in the vehicle while it was still smoking. The report noted the passenger side of the Mustnag was missing after the crash. Also, airbags in both vehicles were deployed.
At least one person sustained major injuries in the crash, but there are no specific details at this time.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash in front of 33505 Sage Road in Sycamore Springs.
