3 Injured in San Diego Car Accident
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (August 9, 2023) — At least three people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a head-on crash on San Pasqual Valley Road in San Diego.
The two-vehicle crash occurred around 4:12 p.m. on August 8th, near the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, according to the Times of San Diego.
An 18-year-old driver lost control of a Honda Accord, allegedly crossed over the double yellow lines and collided head-on with an eastbound Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Paramedics responded to the scene and found the teenage driver with multiple femur fractures in both of his legs and his two passengers also with life-threatening injuries. San Diego police were also at the crash scene in the 16000 block of San Pasqual Valley Road.
Additionally, it’s unknown if the 54-year-old man driving the Dodge Ram was injured in the collision.
Finally, the San Diego Police Department’s traffic division is heading up the investigation.
