Head-on Crash Sierra Way, Robinson Cove in Kernville, Calif.

Collision Ignites Vehicle Fire on Sierra Way Near Robinson Cove
Kernville, CA (April 15, 2025) — A head-on collision involving a Mercedes and a Subaru shut down a portion of Sierra Way near Robinson Cove Tuesday morning and one of the vehicles caught fire.
The crash occurred around 9:06 a.m. on April 15th, just west of Robinson Cove, approximately half a mile from the intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency crews from Southern California Edison and local fire services responded quickly, arriving on scene by 9:22 a.m. to find one vehicle engulfed in flames.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were blocking the roadway. The CHP coordinated with multiple tow companies, ultimately dispatching B&M Towing to remove the wreckage.
Medical assistance was requested, though the extent of injuries has not yet been released. The road remained closed temporarily while firefighters extinguished the blaze and cleared the area.
“Authorities are reminding drivers to use caution on mountain roads, where blind turns and narrow lanes can increase the risk of accidents,” said Attorney James Johnson, founder of Johnson Attorneys Group.
Finally, the cause of the collision and liability remains under investigation.
