2-Vehicle Collision at Penngrove Intersection
SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (August 10, 2023) — A head-on crash happened Thursday afternoon on Stony Point Road at Pepper Road in the Penngrove area of Sonoma County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 12:42 p.m. on August 10th, just south of Pepper Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white full-size GMC pickup truck and a grey SUV were involved. Authorities said in the report that the SUV veered across traffic lanes and collided with the white pickup truck.
Stony Point Road became blocked by the vehicles in both directions, police said.
Tow trucks responded to remove the GMC pickup truck which had a missing rear axel after the collision.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on Stony Point Road.
