5-Vehicle Car Accident on Watt Avenue in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Dec. 12, 2023) — A head-on crash happened Tuesday morning at Watt Avenue and Arden Way in the Arden Arcade area of Sacramento County.

At least one person was injured in the five-vehicle collision at around 9:05 a.m. on Dec. 12th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

Police reported a driver in a blue Ford traveled across the center divider from the southbound side of Watt Avenue into the path of the other motorists in the northbound left-hand turn lane. The car collided with a Toyota Camry, a van, a Toyota 4Runner SUV and a work truck, police said.

Five vehicles in total were involved and one person was found “barely conscious” after the collision, police said in the report.

Paramedics responded to help those injured in the crash, but there are no further details at this time.

Meanwhile, at least four tow trucks came to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.

Investigators are working on the case and will determine if any charges will be filed against the driver in the Ford who caused the accident.
