Two Hospitalized after Major Crash in Palmdale

PALMDALE, Calif. (August 12, 2025) – Two drivers were seriously injured early Monday in a head-on crash on Sierra Highway, near Pearblossom Highway in Palmdale.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at 12:28 a.m. at 35738 Sierra Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported emergency crews responded and located both drivers with injuries. They were transported by ambulances to the hospital. A BMW sedan involved in the crash became engulfed in flames, but the male driver exited.

Meanwhile, the female driver of the other vehicle, a Honda CRV became trapped in her heavily damaged SUV. Firefighters spent roughly 20 minutes working to extricate her from the wreckage.

Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Sierra Highway in Palmdale.
