2-Vehicle Car Accident on Historic Route 66
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2023) — A head-on crash in San Bernardino happened Friday on Cajon Boulevard, also known as Historic Route 66.
The traffic accident occurred at around 10:18 a.m. on Nov. 3rd, roughly two miles north of Kenwood Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a Volkswagen and a Toyota Corolla were involved. One of the vehicles “was speeding and veered into oncoming traffic lanes,” the report said. The vehicles crashed head-on and a pedestrian was also struck during the collision, the report said.
Police issued a SigAlert and requested paramedics respond to the scene. At least one person suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Cajon Boulevard in San Bernardino.
