Wrong-Way Truck Driver Crash on State Route 58
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (May 17, 2024) — A head-on truck accident happened early Friday morning on Highway 58, just east of Kramer Junction in San Bernardino County.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 3:51 a.m. on May 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a semi-truck was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of State Route 58 when it collided head-on into another truck. The semi-truck also went off the roadway and crashed on the east shoulder of the highway.
Paramedics responded to help those injured in the truck accident on Highway 58, but there are no further details at this time.
Tow trucks removed the damaged trucks from the highway and investigators are working to determine fault for the collision.
