Heather Sevier, 41, Killed in Crash on Highway 166

December 19, 2018 – The woman killed in a traffic collision Wednesday on Highway 166 has been identified as 41-year-old Heather Sevier, of Bakersfield.
Fatal Head-On Crash in Santa Maria, December 12
According to a local news source, Sevier was driving a 1996 Ford F250 heading east on Highway 166 near Cottonwood Canyon Road around 2 a.m. December 12. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle of Sevier veered into the wrong lanes and crashed head-on into a westbound oil tanker.
The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the female driver, later identified as Sevier.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the operator of the tanker was unharmed in the wreck.
No other details were immediately released. Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine liability in the deadly accident.
