Pedestrian Hospitalized After Collision at Save Mart Parking Lot
Marysville, CA (March 24, 2022) – Police arrested 36-year-old Heather Marie Wood in relation with a pedestrian accident that occurred in a Save Mart parking lot.
The CBS News reported Wood was behind the wheel of a vehicle with three juvenile passengers. According to the article published online, Wood struck a pedestrian while backing her vehicle in the parking lot near J Street. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver then pulled forward and ran over the legs of the pedestrian.
Shortly after 3:07 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the victim lying on the ground. Paramedics rushed the injured party to a Rideout Hospital for treatment. Personal information on the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Heather Wood Arrested in Marysville DUI Crash
Authorities later discover Wood has twice the legal blood alcohol level. For this reason, police booked the suspect into the Yuba County Jail on charges of DUI causing injury and child endangerment.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
