Innocent Victim Flown to Riverside University Med Center
HEMET (March 29, 2016)- According to the Press-Enterprise, a high speed pursuit ended in a fatal crash Tuesday afternoon on Highway 74 also known as Florida Avenue.
The incident began when authorities knocked on the window of a gold colored vehicle with no license plates as they noticed a man inside with drug paraphernalia.
The man began startled and suddenly turned the vehicle on and sped off initiating a pursuit which lasted a short while before the driver lost control and crashed into a pickup truck.
The collision resulted in major injuries to the driver of the pickup truck. The victim was airlifted to Riverside University Medical Center after sustaining very serious injuries.
The driver of the stolen vehicle and suspect lost an arm following the aftermath of the collision and was rushed to Hemet Valley Medical Center, where he did not survive his injuries.
The deceased man who is believed to be in his mid 30’s has not yet been properly identified, per the Press-Enterprise.
