1 Killed, 4 Seriously Injured in Hemet Crash on Warren Road Near Stetson A
HEMET, CA (October 20, 2022) – A car crash on Warren Road near Stetson Avenue killed one person and seriously injured several others in Hemet.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 3:15 p.m.
The incident happened on October 18 when a Nissan sedan was traveling south on Warren in Hemet. At the same time, a Toyota SUV was going north.
Both cars were driving at about 50 mph when for an unknown reason, the Nissan drifted onto the shoulder. The sedan spun out of control, over-corrected and skid in a southeast direction.
2 Cars Collide
In the process, the Nissan went into the northbound lane. Police said the Toyota then collided with the passenger side of the sedan, just north of Stetson Avenue.
Firefighters arrived and pronounced a passenger in the Nissan dead at the scene. The driver of the sedan and the two other occupants of the car, and the motorist in the SUV ended up hurt.
All four patients sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Paramedics soon rushed them to a regional trauma center for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of Warren Road to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Hemet crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 951-765-2400.
