Henry Lee, 85, Dies After San Jose Crash on Pearl Avenue Near Mountcastle
SAN JOSE (October 3, 2019) – An elderly pedestrian severely injured after a traffic accident along Pearl Avenue two months ago has died.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office identified the deceased victim as 85-year-old Henry Lee, a resident of San Jose.
According to an article published by The Mercury News, Lee was walking across Pearl Avenue when he was struck for an unknown reason by a 2005 Honda Accord.
Police said the elderly man was crossing in a marked crosswalk on August 21 when he was hit by the car that was headed north at the time.

Paramedics responded to the scene and found Lee lying in the roadway and suffering from major injuries as a result of the crash.
He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead on Tuesday, October 1. The tragic collision was reported about 11:50 a.m. in the 4200 block of Pearl Avenue near Mountcastle Way.
Meanwhile, police did not confirm if the driver of the Honda Accord stopped following the wreck. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
