HERALD, California (March 21, 2016) – A major injury collision occurred in the area of Highway 104 (Twin Cities Road) and West Lane on Monday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol Officers. (map)
As per CHP, a small Toyota Tercel and a white colored vehicle collided head-on at 4:14 p.m.
Sacramento Fire Department personnel along with the paramedics were on scene and confirmed that at least one person was seriously injured in the crash. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for further medical aid.
The westbound lanes were temporarily blocked following the accident which left both cars with major front-end damage.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
