2-Vehicle Crash on the I-15 in the Cajon Pass Area
HESPERIA, Calif. (July 18, 2023) — A two-vehicle Hesperia car accident happened Tuesday morning in the Cajon Summit area of Hesperia.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the I-15 around 6:08 a.m. on July 18th, just south of the 4,000-foot level, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Chevrolet pickup truck and a grey Honda sedan were involved.
Paramedics responded and located one person having a seizure and not breathing following the accident. One of the vehicles collided with a side railing and the person was stuck inside it. A good Samaritan was attempting to help the person before paramedics arrived.
Meanwhile, the Chevrolet truck was occupied by a male driver and juvenile passengers who were crying, but it’s unknown if they were injured.
At least one person was taken to Desert Valley Hospital for further treatment.
The case remains under investigation to determine fault for the crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway.
The investigation is ongoing.
