Bicyclist Critically Injured in Hesperia Hit-and-Run on Main Street
HESPERIA (December 25, 2018) – A bicyclist was critically injured after an alleged hit-and-run crash along Main Street on Tuesday evening, according to Victor Valley News.
The accident took place at about 6:30 p.m. in the 14300 block of Main Street.
As per the article, San Bernardino County Fire Department said a male cyclist was riding across Main Street near the Applejack Liquor when for an unknown reason he was struck by a vehicle.
The impact caused the rider to be thrown from his bike for more than 25 feet. The victim, a man between 20 and 25 years old, was left down on the sidewalk following the crash.

Firefighters responded and requested for an air ambulance to transport the rider to an out-of-area trauma center with critical injuries including head injuries.
His name and condition at this time remained unknown. Meanwhile, the driver of the car that hit the victim did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
Authorities are gathering more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
