3-Vehicle Crash on Summit Valley Road Involving Major Injuries
HESPERIA, Calif. (Dec. 18, 2024) — One person was hospitalized following a 3-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Hesperia on Summit Valley Road near Telephone Canyon Road.
The traffic collision occurred around 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, according to Victor Valley News Group.
The drivers of a blue 2023 Hyundai Elantra, a gray 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, and a silver 2004 Mini Cooper were involved. The Hyundai and the Mini Cooper both had front-end damage.
Paramedics with the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded and extricated one person trapped in the wreckage. They also requested a Mercy Air helicopter to transport one person with major injuries to a trauma center at Loma Linda University Medical Center. It’s unknown how many others were treated for injuries.
Investigators requested a road closure in both directions for Summit Valley Road.
The Hesperia Police Department is handling the investigation into the cause of the accident.
