2 Injured in Hesperia Crash Near Mariposa and Live Oak
HESPERIA, CA (January 12, 2023) – Two were injured after a crash near Mariposa Road and Live Oak Street in Hesperia.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck at around 6:35 p.m.
The incident happened when two cars collided for an unknown reason in the city of Hesperia. The vehicles crashed near the intersection of Mariposa Road and Live Oak Street.
2 Cars Collide
Police described the two cars as a red 2011 Chevrolet Cruze and a white 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Both plowed through the perimeter fencing of the northbound 15 freeway and into a ditch.
The vehicles obtained major damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed the trapped man driving the Cruze from the wreckage.
A helicopter flew the patient to a trauma center for treatment of critical injuries. Medical personnel provided to the driver of the Silverado and listed them in stable condition.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties. Meanwhile, officers forced Mariposa to shut down in both directions near Live Oak following the wreck.
The cause of the Hesperia crash is still under investigation.
