2 Killed, 2 Critically Injured in Hesperia Crash Near Escondido and Sultana
HESPERIA (August 15, 2020) – A traffic collision near Escondido Avenue and Sultana Street killed two people and critically injured two others on Friday night.
Victor Valley News wrote that the fatal accident occurred on August 14 at around 8:41 p.m. It happened about half-a-mile south of Walmart.
A Honda CR-V, a dark-colored GMC Yukon and a white Acura collided for an unknown reason near the intersection of Escondido Avenue and Sultana Street.
The Acura ended up into two pieces in the center divider upon impact. Police found the Honda and the GMC with major damage in the southbound lanes of Escondido.
Multi-Car Crash Near Walmart in Hesperia Friday
San Bernardino County Fire Department officials along with the paramedics pronounced the driver of the Acura and an occupant of the Yukon dead at the scene.
Two air ambulances transported an adult male and a teenage girl riding the GMC to a trauma center with unspecified injuries.
Police added that the male motorist in the CR-V did not sustain any wound in the wreck. The names of the deceased and wounded victims have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, authorities closed Escondido Avenue for several hours following the collision. The cause of the tragic incident remains under investigation.
