HESPERIA, California (March 28, 2016) – Charles James Lovell, 60, was killed in a traffic collision that occurred on Monday at the intersection of Main Street and Timberlane Avenue, according to The Press Enterprise.
The crash took place at 5:45 p.m. when Lovell who was riding his motorcycle west was struck by a southbound Kia Optima which, as per The Press Enterprise, ran a red light.
Lovell was thrown from his bike and landed in the driveway of a nearby residence. He was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he died.
Meanwhile, the Kia crashed into a Toyota Camry that was headed east through the intersection. Both drivers complained of pain and were treated at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
