1 Killed in Hesperia Crash Near Highway 173 and Arrowhead Lake Road
HESPERIA, CA (September 15, 2021) – At least one was killed after a head-on crash near Highway 173 and Arrowhead Lake Road in Hesperia.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the tragic accident occurred late Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 5:30 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Hesperia. They crashed near the intersection of Highway 173 and Arrowhead Lake Road.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
The incident log described the cars as a 1999 black Subaru Forester and a 2003 tan Buick Century. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the Mojave River Forks Regional Park.
They soon extricated the trapped occupants from the wreckage. Medical personnel confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the cause of the Hesperia crash is still under investigation.
CHP then forced the area of Highway 173 and Arrowhead Lake Road to shut down for several hours following the fatal wreck.
