1 Killed, 2 Injured in Hesperia Crash on Summit Valley Road
HESPERIA, CA (May 23, 2023) – A crash killed one person and injured two others on Summit Valley Road in Hesperia.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the tragic accident took place on Monday evening. Officers reported the wreck on May 22 at about 6:47 p.m.
The incident happened when two cars collided head-on for an unknown reason in the city of Hesperia. The vehicles crashed on Summit Valley Road between Agate and Telephone Canyon roads.
2 Cars Collide
Deputies described the cars as a silver 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander and a white 2019 Chevy Traverse. Both vehicles obtained major damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced the driver of the Mitsubishi dead at the scene. Two other people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the patients to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, officials forced Summit Valley Road to shut down between Ranchero Road and Bandicott Trail for several hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Hesperia crash is still under investigation.
