Passenger Badly Injured in Hit-and-Run Car Crash at Sycamore and Balsam Intersection
HESPERIA (June 5, 2018) – On May 25, Friday, a hit-and-run collision occurred in the area of Sycamore Street and Balsam Avenue.
According to Victor Valley News, the suspect remained at-large until recently. 35-year-old Jorge Galvan was arrested on Monday in relation to the hit-and-run crash.
As per the article, the accident happened when Galvan collided into a tractor-trailer that was attempting to reverse into a lot in the 15100 block of Sycamore Street. Investigators determined Galvan was driving his white 1974 Chevy pickup at a high rate of speed prior to the wreck.

Primary reports indicated the impact caused the passenger to become partially ejected from the Chevy. The unidentified passenger remained pinned and critically injured, while Galvan managed to flee from the crash site.
First responders immediately rendered aid to the victim found at the scene. The man was reportedly flown to a trauma center and officials have not released any updates on his condition and identity.
Meanwhile, Galvan has now been taken into custody and booked for his outstanding arrest warrants in Fontana, authorities said. He was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing injury and resisting a peace officer and booked into the West Valley Detention Center.
