HESPERIA (April 8, 2016)- According to the Victorville Valley News, a major injury collision took place Wednesday morning along Bear Valley Road.
The collision involving two vehicles occurred at 11:05 a.m. between a Kia SUV and a blue Ford Mustang.
Per the Victorville Valley News, the driver of the Kia, 20-year-old man of Hesperia, was heading westbound along Bear Valley before turning left directly in front of the Mustang.
The crash sent the Mustang through a fence damaging a lion statue right in front of “Dr. Mike’s Walk-In Clinic.”
The article shared that the 20-year-old woman passenger inside the Kia suffered severe injuries and needed to be flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center while the male driver was taken by ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
Both the male driver, 67, and female passenger, 74, of the Kia needed to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency rescue personnel. Both parties were injured with minor to moderate injuries.
Hesperia police authorities are handling the investigation at this time.
