The rider was then taken to Desert Valley Hospital with injuries described as life-threatening. A comment posted by the cousin of the victim on Victor Valley News said the motorcyclist died.
The name of the deceased has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the male driver of the Kia was extricated from the wreckage and was hospitalized with minor wounds. The vehicle sustained major damage to the driver side door following the crash.
The intersection was closed for at least two hours while the authorities conducted their investigation.
The intersection where the collision took place is a four-way stop sign. Aside from factors such as driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, speeding, distracted driving or negligence, authorities should also determine if there were traffic control signals that were violated at the time of the incident. We are hopeful that authorities are gathering more information and evidence to determine what exactly caused the crash.
