HESPERIA, Calif. (Dec. 9, 2022) – A man was critically injured in a Hesperia pedestrian accident Friday morning crossing Main Street near Topaz Avenue.
An eastbound driver struck the man about 7:15 a.m. on Dec. 9th near the Topaz Market Place, according to Victor Valley News Group.
San Bernardino County Fire and Hesperia Police responded and found the man suffering from major injuries. Emergency medical crews requested an ambulance that took the man to Hesperia Airport where an air ambulance further transported him to an out-of-the-area trauma center.
Meanwhile, the woman driving the involved car stopped and is cooperating with authorities and the investigation.
The driver told investigators she had a green light as she headed down Main Street before hitting the victim. A witness saw the man try to cross from the north side of Main Street to the south side.
Investigators closed down the roadway to piece together what happened and will determine fault for the Hesperia pedestrian accident.
