Semi-Truck Driver Injured in Hesperia Crash on Northbound 15 Freeway
HESPERIA, CA (March 11, 2022) – A semi-truck driver was hospitalized after a crash on the 15 Freeway in Hesperia.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:30 a.m.
The incident began when a silver Infiniti and a blue 4-door Subaru were racing at speeds between 110-120 mph on the northbound 15 Freeway in Hesperia.
A witness told the California Highway Patrol that the Infiniti cut the trailer off. In the process, the impact forced the car into a ditch while the truck plowed through the perimeter fence.
Racing Car Hits Truck
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the driver of the semi-truck hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the victim to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP confirmed that the motorist in the Infiniti ended up unharmed following the incident. Officers forced the northbound 15 Freeway to shut down after the wreck.
The cause of the Hesperia semi-truck crash is still under investigation.
