ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 7, 2022) — A driver struck a Hewes Middle School student Friday morning in a pedestrian accident on Foothill Boulevard, just east of Hewes Avenue in Tustin.

The pedestrian accident happened about 8:23 a.m. on Jan. 7th between the student and a black Subaru, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The driver stopped their car on Foothill Boulevard and accompanied the injured student to the nurses office at the school located at 13232 Hewes Avenue.

The student was seen for unknown injuries from the pedestrian accident.

The Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene to check the student’s injuries.

The CHP report did not mention if the student was taken to a hospital or just treated by the school nurse.
