Major Injury Crash at Hickman Intersection
HICKMAN, Calif. (Oct. 11, 2023) — A major injury car accident in Hickman happened Wednesday morning at East Whitmore Avenue and Swanson Road.
The California Highway Patrol reported the crash at around 5:45 a.m. on Oct. 11th, just east of Modesto in Stanislaus County.
The drivers of a Chevrolet pickup truck and a Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck were involved.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and located one person trapped in a vehicle that required extrication. At least one person had major injuries and a second had minor injuries from the accident. A helicopter was requested to airlift the injured to a trauma center.
Both of the pickup trucks sustained major front-end damage in the collision, the report said.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the car accident in Hickman on Whitmore Avenue.
