1 Killed in Head-On Crash at Highway 330 and Highland Avenue
HIGHLAND, CA (September 6, 2021) – At least one was killed after a head-on crash at Highway 330 and Highland Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident occurred early Monday. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:20 a.m.
CHP said an SUV and a sedan collided head-on for an unknown reason in Highland. The two crashed on northbound Highway 330 at Highland Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found two people lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel confirmed that one victim later died. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention the condition of the other patient involved. Officers forced the northbound lanes of the Highway 330 to shut down for several hours following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Highland crash is still under investigation.
