Major Injury Collision in River Oaks
SAN BENITO COUNTY, Calif. (August 30, 2023) — A head-on crash happened Wednesday in the River Oaks area on Highway 129 also known as Chittenden Road.
The two-vehicle crash occurred around 1:05 p.m. on August 30th and resulted in major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two motorists traveling in opposite directions on State Route 129 collided near the intersection of Chittenden Road (Highway 129) and School Road.
Firefighters responded and extricated at least one person trapped in a vehicle. Paramedics transported someone with major injuries to the hospital.
Police issued a SigAlert due to the crash and tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine liability for the crash on Highway 129 in River Oaks.
