4 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 154
SANTA YNEZ VALLEY, Calif. (Sept. 10, 2018) — Two vehicles collided late Sunday night on Highway 154, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Four people were hurt in the crash took place about 10:20 p.m. The accident was located near the vista point, just north of Cold Spring Canyon Bridge.
Tasneem Copeland, 21, of San Marcos was driving a Lexus sedan westbound when it veered to the right and struck a metal guardrail. The vehicle became disabled in the roadway and was struck by a Dodge pickup driven by Genaro Dolores, 42, of North Hollywood. The Dodge had been heading eastbound, and was unable to avoid the collision.
Joshua Clayton, 22, of San Marcos, who was a passenger in the Lexus, suffered major injuries and was trapped in the wreckage.
The two drivers and Rosa Valdez Barrios, 48, of Panorama City, who was a passenger in the Dodge, all suffered minor injuries. All four people were taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Police closed down the roadway to investigate the cause of the crash.
