Multi-Vehicle Pileup on Highway 50 at Stockton Boulevard
EAST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Oct. 14, 2021) — A multi-vehicle crash on westbound Highway 50 at the Stockton Boulevard off ramp happened Thursday afternoon in East Sacramento.
The collision happened about 1:50 p.m. on Oct. 14th and vehicles blocked all lanes of the highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a black Volkswagen SUV, a black Chevrolet Camaro, a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a white Hyundai are among those vehicle that collided. One of the vehicles spun around and faced the wrong way after the crash. Police issued a SigAlert due to only one lane open.
The Sacramento County Fire Department responded to help those hurt in the crash. Paramedics transported at least one person with major injuries to a hospital, but there are no further details provided in the CHP report.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the pileup and liability.
