Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Black Mountain Road
Hillsborough, CA (June 4, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Friday on Interstate 280, the Mercury News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed a solo-vehicle crash took place in the southbound side of the freeway in Hillsborough. According to the article published online, the vehicle came to a rest in the center divide. Our sources indicated the driver stepped down from the disabled vehicle, and attempted to cross the freeway.
Officials said a passing vehicle struck the male party. The horrible collision took place near Black Mountain Road offramp at approximately 4:20 p.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 280 in Hillsborough
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately checked the condition of the person found lying in the roadway. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. Detectives continue to work to determine liability in the deadly accident on Interstate 280 in Hillsborough.
