2 Killed After Car Crash on Highway 58 Near Harper Lake Road
LOCATION: Hinkley, San Bernardino County
DATE OF COLLISION: Sunday, September 23rd
September 23, 2018 – A double fatal traffic collision occurred early Sunday on Highway 58, according to Victor Valley News.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2006 Dodge 3500 pickup truck was traveling westbound on the highway when it crashed for unknown reasons into the back of a 2001 Hyundai sedan at about 2:10 a.m.
Officials mentioned the Hyundai was stopped on the right shoulder of westbound Highway 58, just west of Harper Lake Road, when the collision took place.
As a result of the collision, the driver and right front passenger of the Hyundai suffered fatal trauma. Authorities briefly identified the deceased parties as 34-year-old male from Lancaster, and 26-year-old male from Van Nuys.

Meanwhile, the Dodge driver, a 31-year-old male from Conroe, Texas, reportedly sustained minor injuries in the wreck. The man was transported by ground to Barstow Community Hospital for treatment, authorities said.
At this time, the investigators handling the case continue to work to determine liability in the deadly crash.
