Man Struck and Killed By Hit-and-Run Motorist in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Dec. 5, 2022) – Hiram Argust Jr., 44, of Long Beach, was identified as the pedestrian struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Long Beach.
The man was crossing outside a marked crosswalk about 1 a.m. on Dec. 4th near Marina Drive, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Meanwhile, the unidentified motorist was traveling eastbound in a vehicle on Second Street. The motorist struck the victim in the roadway and fled the scene, police said.
Sadly, the man identified as Hiram Argust Jr., died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said.
There is no description of the vehicle at this time.
