Mother Injured in Oxnard Hit-and-Run Crash on M Street
OXNARD, CA (January 21, 2021) – A hit-and-run driver crashed into two garages in an Oxnard alley along M Street on Thursday morning.
According to an article published by the Ventura County Star, officers reported the accident shortly before 10:30 a.m. It happened near the cross with Hill Street.
Authorities said an SUV plowed into the corner of two garages in the alley behind the 1100 block of South M Street. It is in a residential area south of Wooley Road and east of South Ventura Road.
Suspect Plows Into Two Garages, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found a mother and child who were in bed at the time. The impact forced both of them off the bed.
Medical personnel treated the adult victim for minor injuries she sustained in the collision. The child ended up unharmed following the incident.
Meanwhile, officials affirmed that the motorist fled the area after hitting the structures. They described the suspect as a heavyset man in his 40s with brown hair and last seen wearing a black shirt.
Authorities are still looking for the hit-and-run driver.
